Urban Development and Environmental Research Center
(UDERC)
 works as collaborative research center with several local
and international research institutions in order to conduct action
oriented research work in Pakistan in the field of environment,  
provision of safe drinking water, social development,
disability, environmental literacy and urban planning. UDERC
works by strengthening the civil society networks in
Pakistan through their active involvement in action-oriented
research activities at grassroots level. These research
initiatives are taken under the scientific support and technical
guidance of Japanese scientists and researchers.
UDERC also serves as a platform to strengthen the bilateral
relations through people-to-people interaction between
Japan and Pakistan through research and development and
cultural exchange activities.

UDERC works as a collaborative research center of the following
Japanese institutions.

    resources and Environment (GREEN), National Institute of
    Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST),
    Ministry of Economics Trade and Industries (METI)
