The local health officials however said that the situation is normal in the area. According to reports hundreds Gastro-enteritis patients from 40 adjoining villages were admitted in the Tehsil headquarters hospital within last 20 days. About 150 Gastro virus victims admitted in the hospital within last two days, sources said. EDO Health district Kasur however has denied of any emergency public health situation in the area saying that the health staff on reports of deaths by Gastro-enteritis visited villages and collected samples of water and human excrement for laboratory tests, which were dispatched to Lahore for lab analysis.
